Description
Normisar (40mg) contains Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications. It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the heart’s workload.
This higher 40mg dose is typically prescribed for patients who require stronger blood pressure control or have resistant hypertension, and may also be used for kidney protection in patients with type 2 diabetes.
