Acylex (200mg/5ml) Suspension contains Acyclovir, an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus and Varicella-zoster virus. It helps manage conditions such as cold sores, genital herpes, chickenpox (varicella), and shingles (herpes zoster).
This oral suspension works by preventing the growth and spread of the virus, reducing the severity and duration of infections. It helps relieve symptoms like pain, itching, and blisters, and supports faster healing of sores.
Acylex Suspension is especially suitable for children or adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Uses
Acylex Suspension is used for the treatment and prevention of viral infections such as:

Herpes simplex infections (cold sores, genital herpes)

Dosage
Adults and Children (as directed by a doctor):

Herpes simplex: 200mg (5ml) every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 5–10 days.

Chickenpox (Varicella): 20mg/kg body weight (maximum 800mg per dose) 4 times daily for 5 days.

Shingles (Herpes zoster): 800mg (20ml) 5 times daily for 7 days.

In Case of Overdose

Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, confusion, hallucinations, or kidney problems.

Missed Dose
