Viracure (250mg) 10 Tablets

Viracure 250mg Tablets contain Famciclovir, an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by the herpes viruses, such as herpes zoster (shingles), herpes simplex (cold sores and genital herpes), and herpes labialis. It works by stopping the replication of the virus, helping reduce the severity and duration of symptoms. While it does not cure herpes, it helps control outbreaks and reduces transmission risk.

Uses
Viracure 250mg Tablets are used for:

• Treatment of shingles (herpes zoster)

• Treatment and suppression of recurrent genital herpes

• Treatment of cold sores (herpes labialis)

• Management of herpes infections in immunocompromised patients

Dosage

• Adults:

  • For shingles: 500mg every 8 hours for 7 days

  • For recurrent genital herpes: 125mg twice daily for 5 days

  • For cold sores: 1500mg single dose at first sign of symptoms

• Children: Not recommended unless prescribed by a physician.

• Always take the medication as directed by your doctor.

In Case of Overdose

• Symptoms may include headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, or kidney problems.

• Seek immediate medical help or contact a poison control center.

Missed Dose

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember.

• If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one.

• Do not double up doses to make up for a missed tablet.

How To Use

1. Take the tablet orally with or without food, as advised by your doctor.

2. Swallow whole with water—do not crush or chew.

When Not to Use
Do not use Viracure if you have:

• Known allergy to Famciclovir or Penciclovir

• Lactose intolerance (contains lactose as an excipient)
