Ofis (500mg) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It contains Ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by stopping the growth and multiplication of bacteria. Ofis is effective in treating infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, bones, joints, and gastrointestinal system.

Dosage

Adults: 250 mg to 750 mg twice daily, depending on the severity and type of infection.

Typical dose: 500 mg twice daily for 7–14 days, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.
In case of Overdose
Overdose may cause dizziness, confusion, nausea, vomiting, or seizures. Seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center if an overdose occurs.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
How To Use
Take Ofis capsules by mouth with or without food.
Avoid taking it with milk, yogurt, or calcium-fortified juices, as these may interfere with absorption.
Drink plenty of water while taking this medicine to prevent crystalluria (formation of crystals in urine).
Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve earlier.

Side Effects
Common: Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, dizziness
Less common: Rash, itching, trouble sleeping, joint pain
Serious (rare): Tendon rupture, nerve damage, liver dysfunction, severe allergic reaction, or abnormal heart rhythm
