RespiCare (10mg) contains Montelukast Sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. It helps reduce inflammation, relax the airways, and make breathing easier. RespiCare is also useful for relieving symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and wheezing caused by allergies or exercise-induced asthma.

Dosage

Adults (≥15 years): 10 mg once daily, usually in the evening.

Not for immediate relief of an acute asthma attack. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
In case of Overdose
Symptoms may include stomach pain, drowsiness, thirst, vomiting, or agitation.
Seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center if overdose occurs.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one—do not double up to make up for it.
How To Use
Take RespiCare tablet orally with or without food.
It is best taken in the evening, preferably at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water—do not crush or chew.
Continue taking it regularly, even when you feel well, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Drug Interactions

Phenobarbital and phenytoin – may reduce the effectiveness of Montelukast.
