Xefecta (400mg) contains Moxifloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair, thereby stopping bacterial growth. It is effective for respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and certain abdominal or sinus infections.

Uses

Dosage

In case of Overdose
Overdose may cause dizziness, confusion, or seizures.
Seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center.

Missed Dose

Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

How To Use

• In patients with a history of tendon disorders related to quinolone use.

• In those with certain heart conditions (e.g., prolonged QT interval).
