Description
Basagine (100IU/ml) Injection contains Insulin Glargine, a long-acting human insulin analog used to control high blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus (Type 1 and Type 2). It provides steady 24-hour blood glucose control with once-daily dosing and helps reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications such as kidney damage, nerve damage, blindness, and heart disease.

Dosage
⚠️ Dosage is individualized based on blood sugar monitoring, diet, and doctor’s recommendation.

Adults & Children (≥6 years): Usually once daily, at the same time each day.

Can be used in combination with mealtime (short-acting) insulin or oral antidiabetics.
 
In Case of Overdose
- 
Symptoms: Severe hypoglycemia (sweating, dizziness, confusion, tremors, fainting, seizures).
 
- 
Management: Immediate oral glucose (sugar, juice) if conscious. Severe cases require IV glucose or glucagon injection in hospital.
 
Missed Dose
- 
Take the missed dose as soon as remembered if within the same day.
 
- 
If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one.
 
- 
Do not double dose. Always consult your doctor if multiple doses are missed.
 
How To Use
- 
Inject subcutaneously (under the skin) in the thigh, upper arm, or abdomen.
 
- 
Rotate injection sites to prevent lipodystrophy (fat tissue changes).
 
- 
Do not inject into a vein or muscle.
 
- 
Must be used under medical supervision with regular blood glucose monitoring.

Storage / Disposal
- 
Store in a refrigerator at 2°C – 8°C. Do not freeze.

Once opened, can be kept at room temperature (below 25°C) for up to 28 days.

Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.

Safely dispose of used vials, needles, and syringes in sharps containers.
