Description
Nexum Injection contains Esomeprazole 40mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), formulated for intravenous (IV) use. It is commonly used in patients unable to take oral medications, providing effective reduction of gastric acid secretion. Nexum is indicated in conditions such as GERD, peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and prevention of rebleeding after endoscopic treatment of gastric or duodenal ulcers.

Dosage
In Case of Overdose

Symptoms: Confusion, drowsiness, tachycardia, headache, flushing

Missed Dose
- 
As it is administered in hospital/clinical settings, missed doses are unlikely.
 
- 
If missed, the healthcare provider will reschedule the administration.
 
How To Use

Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, substituted benzimidazoles, or any component of the formulation

Concomitant use with nelfinavir (antiviral)

Caution in patients with severe liver impairment
