Eyemox (0.5%) 5ml Eye Drops

Eyemox Eye Drops contains Moxifloxacin 0.5%, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, effectively treating bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis and keratitis. This medication helps reduce redness, discharge, and discomfort caused by bacterial infections.

Uses

• Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis

Dosage

• Adults and children (≥1 year): Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then 1 drop every 4 hours while awake for the next 5 days, or as prescribed by a physician.

• Shake well before use.

• Follow the doctor’s instructions for exact dosage and duration.

In case of Overdose

• May cause temporary eye irritation or stinging.

• Seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen.

Missed Dose

• Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember.

• If it is near the time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose.

• Do not double the dose.

How To Use

1. Wash hands thoroughly before use.

2. Tilt the head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

3. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the eye.

4. Close eyes gently for a few minutes and avoid blinking excessively.

5. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye to prevent contamination.

6. Recap the bottle tightly after use.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to Moxifloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.

• Viral, fungal, or tuberculosis-related eye infections.

• Severe eye conditions without physician supervision.

Side Effects
Common: Temporary burning, stinging, or irritation in the eyes, mild blurred vision.
