Dalacin C Injection contains Clindamycin Phosphate, a lincosamide antibiotic used for treating serious bacterial infections. It is particularly effective against anaerobic bacteria and certain gram-positive organisms, making it a preferred choice for bone infections, skin infections, intra-abdominal infections, and septicemia.

Bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis, septic arthritis)
Skin and soft tissue infections (cellulitis, abscesses)

Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, empyema, lung abscess)

💉 Dosage is determined by a healthcare provider.
Adults:
IM or IV: 600–2700mg per day, divided into 2–4 doses
Children (>1 month):
8–25mg/kg/day, divided into 3–4 equal doses
Infuse IV slowly (over 10–60 minutes) to reduce irritation
Symptoms: Severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, blood in stools, neuromuscular blockade
Treatment: Supportive care, gastric lavage, symptomatic treatment
Take as soon as remembered if within a short time
Skip if it’s close to the next scheduled dose
Do not double the dose
Can be given intramuscularly (deep injection) or intravenously (slow infusion)
Must be administered by a healthcare professional
Rotate injection sites to avoid local irritation
Allergy to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any component of the formulation
History of severe antibiotic-associated colitis (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea)
Use with caution in newborns (especially premature infants)
Common:
Pain, redness, or irritation at injection site
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
Rash, itching
Serious:
Severe diarrhea (may indicate Clostridium difficile-associated colitis)
Liver dysfunction (jaundice, abnormal LFTs)
Allergic reactions (swelling, difficulty breathing, anaphylaxis)
Blood disorders (neutropenia, thrombocytopenia – rare)
Prolonged use may cause superinfections, including fungal infections
Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment
Not recommended for meningitis (poor CSF penetration)
Monitor for gastrointestinal symptoms during therapy
Inform doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
Muscle relaxants (may increase neuromuscular blockade)
Erythromycin (antagonistic effect, avoid combination)
Antidiarrheal drugs (may worsen antibiotic-associated colitis)
Warfarin and anticoagulants (increased bleeding risk)
Store at below 25°C

Dispose of used ampoules safely
