Description

Grasil Injection (250mg/2ml) contains Amikacin sulfate, an aminoglycoside antibiotic used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively killing susceptible gram-negative and some gram-positive organisms. It is usually reserved for serious infections where other antibiotics may not be effective.

In Case of Overdose

• Symptoms: hearing loss, dizziness, kidney damage, muscle weakness, respiratory depression.

• Management: discontinue drug, provide supportive care, monitor kidney function, and in severe cases, hemodialysis may be required.

Missed Dose

• Take as soon as remembered if close to schedule.

• Skip if it is almost time for next dose.

• Do not double dose to make up for a missed one.
