Description

Kinz Injection contains Nalbuphine Hydrochloride, a semi-synthetic opioid analgesic used for the relief of moderate to severe pain. It works by binding to opioid receptors in the central nervous system (CNS), altering the body’s perception of pain. Kinz is commonly used in post-operative pain, labor pain, and as a supplement to surgical anesthesia.

Uses

Dosage

  • Adults: 10mg IM/IV/SC every 3–6 hours as needed (maximum daily dose: 160mg)

  • Elderly or patients with renal/hepatic impairment may require lower doses


In Case of Overdose

Symptoms include respiratory depression, extreme drowsiness, low blood pressure, slowed heart rate, or coma. Immediate emergency medical help is required. Naloxone may be used as an antidote.


Missed Dose

  • If administered in hospital, missed doses are rare

  • Do not double the dose if a scheduled dose is missed

  • Administered by intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), or subcutaneous (SC) injection

  • Only to be given under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional

  • Dosage depends on severity of pain and patient’s health status


When Not to Use

  • Allergy to Nalbuphine or other opioids

  • Patients with severe respiratory depression or acute asthma

  • MAO inhibitors and antidepressants (may cause dangerous interactions)

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Dispose of unused ampoules according to medical waste guidelines
