The Introcan-W 24G IV Cannula is a sterile, single-use, peripheral intravenous catheter designed for safe and reliable venous access. It features a 24-gauge size with a flow rate of 22 ml/min, making it suitable for patients with smaller or fragile veins such as children, elderly patients, or those requiring lower infusion rates. How To Use

  1. Wash and disinfect hands.

  2. Prepare the IV site with antiseptic.

  3. Insert the cannula into the vein at the recommended angle.

  4. Once blood flashback is observed, advance the cannula and withdraw the needle.

  5. Secure the cannula with tape or dressing.

  6. Connect infusion line or injection cap as per clinical need.

  7. Monitor the site for infection, infiltration, or phlebitis.


When Not to Use

  • Do not use on infected or inflamed skin.

  • Not suitable for patients requiring high-volume rapid infusion (use larger gauge instead).

  • Do not use if packaging is damaged or sterility is compromised.
