Xcept 20mg Tablets
Xcept 20mg contains Escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that restores serotonin balance in the brain, improving mood, sleep, and emotional well-being. It is commonly used to treat depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder.

Dosage

In Case of Overdose
Symptoms: Dizziness, tremors, nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, drowsiness, or seizures
Action: Seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center
Missed Dose
- Take as soon as remembered
- If near next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double the dose
How To Use
- Take orally once daily at the same time
- Can be taken with or without food
- Do not crush or chew the tablet
- Continue even if feeling better; do not stop abruptly
When Not to Use
- Allergic to Escitalopram or components
- Taking or recently taken MAO inhibitors (within 14 days)
- History of severe liver disease or seizure disorders
- Under 18 years unless prescribed by a psychiatrist
Side Effects
Common: Nausea, dry mouth, drowsiness, insomnia, headache, increased sweating, mild appetite or weight changes
Serious: Suicidal thoughts (esp. young adults), irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, serotonin syndrome
⚠️ Contact doctor immediately if serious side effects occur

- Use caution in heart disease, diabetes, kidney/liver impairment, or bipolar disorder
- Avoid alcohol
- Taper gradually to prevent withdrawal symptoms
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women: use only if prescribed
