Uses

Dosage
- Adults: 250–500mg once daily for 3–5 days, or as prescribed
- Typhoid: 500mg once daily for 5–7 days
- Children: 10mg/kg once daily for 3 days (under medical supervision)

In Case of Overdose
Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, temporary hearing loss, irregular heartbeat
Action: Seek immediate medical attention or go to the nearest emergency room.
Missed Dose
- Take as soon as you remember
- If close to next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double up

- Take exactly as prescribed
- Swallow capsule whole with a full glass of water
- Take at the same time each day
- Complete the full course even if feeling better
When Not to Use
- Allergy to Azithromycin, Erythromycin, or other macrolides
- Liver problems or previous jaundice from antibiotics
- Severe kidney disease
- Concurrent use of ergotamine or dihydroergotamine
- Heart rhythm disorders (QT prolongation)
