Uses

Dosage
- Adults: 500mg once daily for 3 days, or as directed
- Typhoid: 500mg once daily for 5–7 days
- STDs: Single 1g dose (two 500mg tablets) may be prescribed
- Children: 10mg/kg/day under medical supervision

In Case of Overdose
Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, temporary hearing loss, drowsiness, irregular heartbeat

Missed Dose

When Not to Use
- Allergy to Azithromycin, Erythromycin, or other macrolides

- Concurrent use of ergotamine or dihydroergotamine
