Zurig 80mg contains Febuxostat 80mg, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that lowers uric acid levels in the body. It helps prevent gout attacks, joint inflammation, and uric acid crystal formation in the kidneys and joints, especially in patients who cannot tolerate or respond to allopurinol.

Uses
- Treatment and prevention of gout attacks

Dosage
Adults: Usually 80mg once daily. Dose may start at 40mg daily and increase after 2–4 weeks if uric acid levels remain above target.

In Case of Overdose
Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or liver function changes.
Action: Contact your doctor or nearest emergency center immediately.
Missed Dose
- Take as soon as possible.
- If almost time for next dose, skip the missed one.
- Do not double up to compensate.
How To Use
- Take at the same time every day for consistent uric acid control.
- Can be taken with or without meals.
- Drink plenty of fluids to help flush uric acid.
- Continue therapy even during a gout attack; additional medicine may be prescribed for pain relief.
When Not to Use
- Allergy to Febuxostat or any component

Side Effects
