Acylex (200mg/5ml) Suspension contains Acyclovir, an antiviral medicine used to treat viral infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus and Varicella-zoster virus. It helps manage conditions such as cold sores, genital herpes, chickenpox (varicella), and shingles (herpes zoster).
This oral suspension works by preventing the growth and spread of the virus, reducing the severity and duration of infections. It helps relieve symptoms like pain, itching, and blisters, and supports faster healing of sores.
Acylex Suspension is especially suitable for children or adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Uses
- Herpes simplex infections (cold sores, genital herpes)

Dosage
Adults and Children (as directed by a doctor):

Herpes simplex: 200mg (5ml) every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 5–10 days.

Chickenpox (Varicella): 20mg/kg body weight (maximum 800mg per dose) 4 times daily for 5 days.

Shingles (Herpes zoster): 800mg (20ml) 5 times daily for 7 days.

In Case of Overdose
- Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, confusion, hallucinations, or kidney problems.
- Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.
Missed Dose
- Take the missed dose as soon as remembered.
- Skip it if it’s nearly time for the next one.
- Do not double doses.
How To Use
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Measure the prescribed dose using the provided measuring spoon or cup.
- Take by mouth, preferably after meals.
