Xalatan Eye Drops contain Latanoprost 0.005%, a prostaglandin analog used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye, helping to lower pressure and reduce the risk of optic nerve damage.

Dosage

In case of Overdose
Missed Dose

How To Use

Wash hands thoroughly before use

Tilt head back and pull down the lower eyelid

Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac

Close the eye gently and apply light pressure to the inner corner for 1–2 minutes

Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye

Recap the bottle tightly after use

Allergy to Latanoprost or any other component of the formulation

Use with caution in patients with active eye infections

Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed
Side Effects
Common: Eye redness, itching, burning sensation, increased brown pigmentation of the iris
Less Common: Eyelash growth, eye discomfort
Serious (seek medical help): Vision changes, severe eye pain, signs of infection
