Description:
Rovista EZ 20/10mg is a combination medication containing Rosuvastatin 20mg and Ezetimibe 10mg. It is used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, providing comprehensive cardiovascular protection. Rosuvastatin, a statin, reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases HDL (good cholesterol). Ezetimibe works by decreasing the absorption of cholesterol in the intestines. This combination effectively reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other heart-related complications.

Ingredients:

  • Active Ingredients:

    • Rosuvastatin 20mg

    • Ezetimibe 10mg

  • Inactive Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide (coating)

Drug Class:

  • Combination therapy: Statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) + Cholesterol absorption inhibitor

Dosage Form:

  • Film-coated tablets

Uses:

  • Lowers LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides

  • Increases HDL (good cholesterol)

Dosage:

In Case of Overdose:

How To Use:

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Side Effects:
Common:

  • Headache

  • Mild muscle aches or pain

  • Nausea

  • Abdominal discomfort

Serious (seek medical attention):

  • Severe muscle pain or weakness

  • Dark-colored urine

  • Yellowing of eyes or skin (jaundice)

  • Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing
