Cardace 10mg Tablets contain Ramipril, an ACE (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme) inhibitor used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and for prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney damage in high-risk patients.
It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure, improves blood flow, and reduces the workload on the heart. Regular use of Cardace helps improve heart function and protects the kidneys, especially in people with diabetes or hypertension.

Adults:
Hypertension: Initial dose is 2.5mg once daily, which may be gradually increased to 5–10mg daily as directed by your doctor.
Heart failure: Start with 1.25mg–2.5mg once daily, may be increased based on response.
Post–heart attack: 2.5mg twice daily, adjusted as per medical advice.
Elderly or kidney-impaired patients: Lower doses may be recommended.
Always follow your physician’s prescribed dose and schedule.
Symptoms: Severe dizziness, fainting, very low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, or shock.
Action: Seek immediate medical attention. Hospitalization may be required for supportive care and blood pressure management.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
Skip it if it’s almost time for your next scheduled dose.
Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
Take orally with a full glass of water, with or without food.
Take at the same time each day for consistent effect.
Continue taking even if you feel well — hypertension often has no symptoms.

Not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
May interact with:
Potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone, amiloride) – risk of high potassium
NSAIDs – may reduce antihypertensive effect
Other antihypertensive medicines – may cause excessive blood pressure drop
Lithium – increases risk of lithium toxicity
Insulin and oral diabetes medicines – may cause low blood sugar
Diuretics – may lead to excessive hypotension
Aliskiren – contraindicated in diabetic patients
