Azit (200mg/5ml) Suspension contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections in children and adults. It works by stopping bacterial growth and preventing them from multiplying.
It is commonly prescribed for respiratory infections, ear infections (otitis media), skin infections, tonsillitis, and throat infections. Azit Suspension offers convenient once-daily dosing and is especially suited for pediatric use.

Uses
Azit Suspension is used for the treatment of:

Dosage
⚠️ Follow your doctor’s prescription carefully.

Children (based on body weight):

10mg/kg body weight once daily for 3 days (maximum 500mg per day).

Alternatively, 10mg/kg on day 1, then 5mg/kg on days 2–5.

Adults: 500mg once daily for 3 days.

Shake well before use. Use the provided measuring cup or syringe.
In Case of Overdose
-
Symptoms: severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, temporary hearing loss.

Seek immediate medical assistance or contact a poison control center.
Missed Dose
-
Take the missed dose as soon as possible.
-
If it’s nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one.

Do not double the dose.

Can be taken with or without food (preferably after meals to reduce stomach upset).

When Not to Use
Avoid using Azit if:
