Description:

Bone Lift 0.5mcg Tablets contain Alfacalcidol, a form of vitamin D used to treat and prevent disorders related to calcium and phosphate imbalance in the body.

It helps improve bone strength, mineralization, and calcium absorption, making it an essential treatment for conditions such as osteoporosis, renal osteodystrophy, rickets, and hypocalcemia (low calcium levels).

Bone Lift promotes healthy bone formation and prevents bone softening or deformities, especially in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or vitamin D deficiency.

Ingredients:

Each tablet contains:

  • Alfacalcidol – 0.5 micrograms (mcg)

Inactive ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other excipients.

Drug Class:

  • Vitamin D Analog / Calcium Regulator

Dosage Form:

  • Oral Tablet

Uses:

Bone Lift 0.5mcg is used to treat and manage:

  • Vitamin D deficiency

  • Osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones)

  • Renal osteodystrophy (bone disorder due to chronic kidney disease)

  • Rickets and osteomalacia (bone softening due to lack of vitamin D)

  • Hypocalcemia (low calcium levels in the blood)

  • Hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone levels affecting calcium balance)

Dosage:

  • Adults: Usually 0.25 to 1 mcg daily, depending on the condition and blood calcium levels.

  • Elderly: Start with a lower dose as advised by a doctor.

  • Children: Dose adjusted according to body weight and medical advice.

⚠️ Do not exceed the prescribed dose, as excessive vitamin D can lead to high calcium levels (hypercalcemia).

In Case of Overdose:

Symptoms may include:

  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation

  • Excessive thirst or urination

  • Weakness or confusion

  • Elevated calcium levels in the blood

👉 Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

Missed Dose:

  • Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

How to Use:

  • Take Bone Lift 0.5mcg by mouth, preferably after food for better absorption.

  • Swallow whole with a full glass of water.

  • Take at the same time every day.

  • Regular blood tests may be required to monitor calcium and phosphate levels.

When Not to Use:

Do not use Bone Lift if you:

  • Have high calcium or phosphate levels in the blood.

  • Have vitamin D toxicity.

  • Suffer from hyperparathyroidism.

  • Are allergic to Alfacalcidol or any other ingredient in the tablet.

  • Have sarcoidosis or other conditions that increase vitamin D sensitivity.

  • Dry mouth or metallic taste

  • Muscle or bone pain

Serious side effects (seek immediate help):

  • Symptoms of hypercalcemia (nausea, fatigue, confusion, excessive thirst, or irregular heartbeat)

  • Severe allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Precautions & Warnings:

  • Regularly monitor calcium and phosphate levels during therapy.

  • Avoid taking other vitamin D or calcium supplements unless advised.
