Description

Clexane contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used as an anticoagulant (blood thinner). It helps prevent the formation of harmful blood clots in veins, arteries, or lungs. Clexane is commonly prescribed for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and clotting disorders after surgery. It is also used in patients with unstable angina or heart attack to improve blood flow and reduce complications.

Dosage

• Adults (Prophylaxis): 40mg once daily via subcutaneous injection

• Treatment of DVT/PE: 1mg/kg body weight every 12 hours or 1.5mg/kg once daily

In Case of Overdose

• Symptoms: Excessive bleeding, unusual bruising, blood in urine/stool, prolonged clotting time
