HY-Cortisone 250mg Injection contains Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate, a corticosteroid medication widely used for treating severe allergic reactions, inflammation, adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease, adrenal crisis), and life-threatening conditions such as shock due to infections or trauma.

Adults:
Initial emergency dose: 100–500mg IV injection depending on condition.
Maintenance: 250mg every 4–6 hours as directed by doctor.
Children:
Doses are weight-based (usually 0.56–8mg/kg/day).
Always follow doctor’s prescription.
Symptoms: Mood changes, confusion, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, electrolyte imbalance.
Action: Seek immediate medical help. Supportive treatment required.
Usually hospital-administered, so missed doses are rare.

Antifungals (ketoconazole ↑ steroid effect)
Anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine ↓ steroid effect)
