Hyzonate 250mg Injection contains Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate, a powerful corticosteroid medicine used to treat severe inflammation, adrenal insufficiency, allergic reactions, asthma, arthritis, and life-threatening emergencies such as anaphylaxis, septic shock, and adrenal crisis.
It provides rapid relief by suppressing inflammation and replacing cortisol in patients with adrenal gland problems. This injection is usually given by a doctor or healthcare professional through intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) routes.

Hyzonate 250mg Injection is prescribed for:
Adrenal insufficiency & adrenal crisis (Addison’s disease)
Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis, angioedema)
Asthma attacks & COPD exacerbations
Rheumatic disorders (arthritis, lupus, joint inflammation)
Endocrine disorders needing cortisol replacement
Shock & critical illness (septic shock, trauma, post-surgery)
Skin & autoimmune conditions (psoriasis, lupus)
Inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease)
Adults:
Initial: 100–250mg IV or IM, depending on severity.
Maintenance: May repeat every 6–8 hours, or as prescribed.
Children:
Dose is weight-based (0.56–8mg/kg/day).
Always follow doctor’s prescription.
Symptoms: Mood swings, confusion, high blood pressure, electrolyte imbalance, high blood sugar.
Seek emergency medical help immediately.
As this injection is usually given in hospitals, missed doses are rare.
If using at home, take as soon as remembered unless close to the next dose. Do not double dose.

Do not use Hyzonate 250mg if:
You are allergic to Hydrocortisone or other corticosteroids

Do not stop suddenly; taper dose gradually under medical advice.
Avoid contact with people having chickenpox or measles.
Pregnant & breastfeeding women should consult doctor before use.
NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen – ↑ ulcer risk)
Antidiabetic drugs (may reduce effect, ↑ sugar levels)
Antifungals (ketoconazole ↑ steroid levels)
Anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine ↓ steroid effect)
Diuretics (low potassium risk)
Live vaccines (dangerous infections possible)
Store below 25°C, away from light and heat.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children.
Dispose of unused vials safely as per pharmacist’s instructions.
