Description

Neege Injection contains Metoclopramide Hydrochloride 40mg/10ml, a widely used antiemetic and prokinetic agent. It helps treat nausea, vomiting, reflux disease (GERD), and digestive motility disorders by enhancing stomach emptying and blocking chemicals in the brain that trigger nausea.

This injection is often used in post-operative nausea, chemotherapy-induced vomiting, and migraine-associated nausea.


Ingredients (Per Vial – 10ml)

  • Metoclopramide Hydrochloride – 40mg

  • Sterile water for injection (solvent)

Uses

Neege Injection is prescribed for:

  • Nausea and vomiting (due to surgery, chemotherapy, or infections)

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

  • Delayed gastric emptying (gastroparesis)

  • Migraine-related nausea

  • Diagnostic procedures (to help empty the stomach before tests)


Dosage

  • Adults: 10mg IV/IM every 8 hours (or as prescribed)

  • Maximum daily dose: 30–40mg

  • Children: Dosage adjusted according to weight

  • Always follow your doctor’s prescription – self-dosing not recommended


In Case of Overdose

  • Symptoms: Drowsiness, confusion, muscle spasms, irregular heartbeat

  • Seek emergency medical care immediately

  • Symptomatic treatment (anticholinergic or antihistamine drugs may be given)


Missed Dose

  • If on schedule: take as soon as remembered

  • If near next dose: skip missed dose

  • Do not double dose


How To Use

  • Administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM)

  • Should be given by a trained healthcare professional

  • Use only under medical supervision


When Not to Use

Avoid Neege Injection if you have:

  • Allergy to Metoclopramide

  • Gastrointestinal bleeding, perforation, or obstruction

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

  • Parkinson’s disease (risk of worsening symptoms)

  • Concurrent use with levodopa or dopaminergic drugs


Side Effects

Common:

  • Drowsiness, fatigue

  • Restlessness, dizziness

  • Diarrhea

Serious:

  • Involuntary muscle spasms (extrapyramidal symptoms)

  • Irregular heartbeat

  • Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

  • Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (rare but serious)


Precautions & Warnings

  • Use with caution in children and elderly (higher risk of movement disorders)

  • May impair alertness – avoid driving or heavy machinery

  • Limit treatment duration (avoid long-term use beyond 12 weeks)

  • Inform doctor about any history of liver or kidney disease


Drug Interactions

  • Avoid with levodopa or dopamine agonists (opposite effects)

  • May increase sedative effect of alcohol, sleeping pills, antihistamines, or opioids

  • Can interact with antidepressants and antipsychotics

  • May alter absorption of certain drugs by speeding stomach emptying

  • Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight

  • Do not freeze

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Dispose of used vials safely in medical waste containers
