Description

Penro (500mg) Injection contains Meropenem, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic used to treat severe and resistant bacterial infections. It works by stopping bacterial cell wall formation, ultimately killing the bacteria.

It is generally used in hospitals for serious infections such as pneumonia, sepsis, meningitis, complicated urinary tract infections, and intra-abdominal infections.


Ingredients

  • Active Ingredient: Meropenem (500mg)

  • Inactive Ingredients: Sodium carbonate, sterile water for reconstitution

  • Reduces blood levels of valproic acid (increasing seizure risk)

  • Probenecid (can raise Meropenem levels)

  • Use with caution alongside other antibiotics or seizure medications

  • Store below 25°C, away from moisture and light

  • Reconstituted solution should be used immediately or within recommended time

  • Dispose of leftover vials as per hospital/medical waste guidelines
