Ryzodeg (100IU/ml) 3ml Flexpen is a combination insulin injection containing Insulin degludec (long-acting) and Insulin aspart (rapid-acting). This dual-action insulin helps manage blood sugar levels in adults, adolescents, and children with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It provides stable, long-lasting control with immediate mealtime coverage, reducing the number of daily injections needed.

Provides:

Symptoms: sweating, shakiness, confusion, blurred vision, seizures, loss of consciousness

Take the missed dose with the next meal, if remembered soon
If too close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one
Never double the dose to make up for a missed injection
Use the pre-filled Flexpen as instructed by your doctor or diabetes educator
Administer via subcutaneous injection in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm
Rotate injection sites to avoid lipodystrophy (skin changes)
Do not inject directly into veins or muscles

Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of hypoglycemia

Increased hypoglycemia risk with:
Sulfonylureas (e.g., glimepiride)
Beta-blockers (mask hypoglycemia symptoms)
ACE inhibitors, MAO inhibitors
Decreased effectiveness with:
Corticosteroids, oral contraceptives, thyroid hormones, thiazides
Store unopened Flexpens in refrigerator (2–8°C)
Do not freeze
Once opened, can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to 28 days
Keep away from direct heat and light
Dispose of used pens and needles in a sharps container as per medical waste guidelines
